We Got Big Nate

Nathan is certified in education and childcare; when he's not at the Monster Club he's working at an after school daycare. It's there that he meets his future wife, Kara Nightingale.

I think this piece is quite unlike any I've one before, in several ways. I used more rough lineart, and really saturated background colors. And I really enjoy drawing little children, though I hardly do.

Hopefully it's obvious from this image that Nathan is ridiculously tall - nearly seven feet. That's why the kids call him "Big Nate". And there's no telling where they put his right sneaker.
