John 'Jack' Warren sketchbook page

I went crazy with this guy yesterday. I invented him about 3 years ago, but he was in a story about superheroes... I think I was trying too hard by squeezing monsters into that story, but now with The Monster Club I've found the right spot for him.

Warren is a historian at a university in America; he left England because there were "too many monsters there" and the place was "crawling" with them. He tries not to take sides in anything because alliances have hurt him in the past, but he's generally trustworthy and definitely knowledgable on monster history.

As for the slash marks all over his arms... I'm not even sure how he got them. A supernatural fight, but whether he was the instigator or the victim, I don't know. Any maybe they continue onto his torso as well... not sure about that either.
