History: The doguin hybrid was developed for the control of aquatic livestock and for subzero exploration. Harper has human DNA to make her intelligent enough to herd animals without supervision, and she always felt proud of this. Harper was treated fairly well, and felt special for being kept in a specially-monitored enclosed with a low temperature. She was also allowed to swim and herd fish as part of her testing, and she considered it a sort of game. Her keepers gave her extra fish treats for a job well done and generally pampered her. Her only sadness came form being rather isolated, with no playmates aside from the fish and other dumb* animals she herded.

Personality:

[Conceited]
Harper thinks she is amazing. She has lovely fur and feathers, and is sure to take perfect care of her coat always. What's the point of looking anything but fabulous?

[Showy]
She likes to show off both her looks and her skills. This trait goes hand-in-hand with Harper being conceited; she thinks she is amazing, and of course she desires attention for her amazing qualities.

[Ignorant]
Harper is young and mostly just pays attention to herself. She doesn't put much stock in the science that made her, as far as the technical aspects go. She doesn't know much about the world outside either, because she doesn't really care.

[Playful]
Being part collie, Harper does enjoy playing games. However, all the fun is gone if she loses.

[Organized]
This trait is also due to her collie DNA. Harper is very organized, and can be a little bossy because of it. She thinks she alone knows the best way to get things done. even though this may be true of her, she is still big-headed to think it.

Physical Attributes:

Harper's face is essentially a collie's skull covered in a hard sheath like a beak, rather than a dog's fleshy, furred face. She does has a full set of teeth, however.

Her figure is not very feminine due to her thick skin.

Her arms are not as flexible as a person's but they can bend enough for her to grasp things with her opposable digits.

Like her snout, Harper's hands and feet have the skeletal configuration of a dog or a human, but are covered in scales like a penguin's.

Harper can hold her breath for a long time and swim very well. She can also jog fairly quickly. Lastly she can use "the stare" on dumb animals to subdue them.

Roleplay Example:

Harper checked her reflection in the pool before beginning her swim. The water was beautiful, but... "Not as lovely as meee~" she said happily. She preened the feathers on her arms quickly to be sure they were in order. Then her scaly feet pushed off the fake ice and into the cool water. She did flips and twirls, feeling like a flying angel. She saw some large, silvery fish had been released into the pool, and deftly she swam around them, bunching them into a group in not time. What an easy game. Or perhaps she was just too good at it.

Other:

Harper is omnivorous, but prefers fish.

She likes the cold, but can stand to be in a pretty wide range of temperatures.
